Who we are.
Brave Mind is a charity that uses sport to support young people’s mental health.
Our programmes are built with young people and led by sports psychologists. We create safe spaces in schools, colleges, universities, clubs and communities where confidence grows, stigma is challenged and everyone learns how to support each other.
Vision
“A world where every
young person feels
confident understanding, managing and talking
openly about their
mental health.”
Mission
“We use sport to reduce stigma, build mental health awareness and empower young people and their communities to drive lasting change.”
Our Approach
We meet young people where they are - on the pitch, in clubs, and in their communities bringing mental health support into familiar, trusted spaces. While rooted in rugby, we’re expanding to other sports.
All our programmes are co-designed and evidence-driven, meaning they are shaped with young people and developed alongside Sports and Clinical Psychologists to ensure they’re relevant, impactful and inclusive - equipping every young person and the adults around them with practical mental health skills they can use anytime.
Our Founder’s Story
Brave Mind began with a deeply personal mission. Discover how Simon’s own experience led him to create a charity dedicated to transforming mental health support. His story is at the heart of everything we do.
