Wayne Morris – Executive Director
Wayne Morris is a senior leader in professional sport with over 24 years’ experience using sport as a force for positive social change. He has held executive and board-level roles across club and league environments, most notably as Community & Corporate Social Responsibility Director at Premiership Rugby, where he led award-winning strategies across community engagement, equity, diversity and inclusion, safeguarding, and environmental sustainability.
Wayne has secured over £45 million in funding and investment, built high-impact partnerships with government, charities, broadcasters, and major brands, and overseen a programme portfolio reaching more than 300,000 people annually.
A former professional rugby player, Wayne brings both lived experience and extensive governance expertise through board and committee roles with organisations including Made By Sport, the Sport for Development Coalition, and the RFU. His work is driven by a deep belief in sport’s power to widen opportunity, tackle inequality, and deliver inclusive, evidence-based and lasting impact.

Jules Gillard – Director of Impact & Engagement
Jules Gillard is Director of Impact & Engagement at Brave Mind and a PhD researcher in Psychology, focusing on tackling inequalities in schools.
She brings over 18 years’ experience in the charity sector, holding senior leadership roles across children’s and mental health organisations, most recently as Interim CEO of Winchester Youth Counselling.
Jules has contributed to a number of national initiatives supporting young people’s wellbeing, including the Whole School and College Approach Measurement Impact Group, Children’s Hospices UK steering group, the BBC’s Short Change campaign and most recently, through Brave Mind, the National Suicide Prevention Network.
Alongside her professional and academic work, Jules has lived experience of mental health challenges. She has ADHD and has experienced lifelong anxiety, as well as supporting family members with their mental health. She has seen first-hand the positive and protective impact of sport, which fuels her passion for creating inclusive, compassionate, and meaningful change.
By combining lived experience with academic research and senior leadership expertise, Jules ensures Brave Mind delivers evidence-based, empathetic and effective mental health support across the sports community.

Charlie Boardman – Marketing
Charlie brings over eight years’ experience in strategic marketing alongside her role at Brave Mind. She works for an internationally renowned property investment company, leading global partnerships and shaping the marketing strategy for international audiences. Through this role, she has supported charitable organisations via fundraising and partnership initiatives.
She also runs her own consultancy, developing and delivering tailored marketing strategies for local businesses across print, digital, social media and events. A keen sports player, Charlie sees sport as her own mental outlet and was drawn to Brave Mind through its powerful connection between rugby, sport and mental health, helping drive meaningful change for young people.
