The ISSY STAR CHARITY EARRINGS
The Issy Star earrings were created by Sophie McGown, founder of the ISSY STAR, in loving memory of her cousin Issy Phipps, whose kindness, warmth and light continue to inspire others.
wHO WAS ISSY?
Issy's greatest love was rugby. She played for Maidenhead Rugby Club from a young age and absolutely lived and breathed the sport. Rugby wasn't just something she played, it was her community, her happy place and somewhere she poured her heart into helping others.
The Princess of Wales visited Maidenhead Rugby club and was gifted a pair of these earrings by Issy’s mum Sarah, a much valued player and coach of the club. This led to national recognition when in 2023 the Princess of Wales wore the Issy Star earrings on World Mental Health Day, and since, thousands of people all over the world have since chosen to wear them as a reminder that every conversation about mental health matters.
A life doesn't stop making a difference just because it ends.
More than a piece of jewellery, the earrings are a symbol of hope, connection and the importance of looking after our mental health. Every pair worn helps keep Issy's legacy alive while supporting our mission to improve mental health and prevent suicide through education, innovation and community.
