Grant Funders.

Why fund Brave Mind? Investing in prevention. Strengthening communities. Changing young lives.

At Brave Mind, we believe mental health support should start early, feel accessible, and be rooted in the places young people already belong. Sport gives us that platform.

We work with education settings, sports clubs and communities to equip young people with the confidence, language and support they need to look after their mental wellbeing and to ask for help when they need it.

Our programmes are preventative, evidence-informed and designed to reduce stigma, improve resilience and strengthen support networks around young people.

Grant funding is vital to making
this work possible.

We meet young people where they are
By embedding mental health education into sporting environments, we reach young people who may not engage with traditional services - particularly those at risk of slipping through the gaps.

We focus on prevention
and early intervention
Our work supports young people before issues escalate, reducing pressure on specialist services and helping build lifelong coping skills.

We work collaboratively
We partner with schools, sports organisations, community groups and families to ensure our programmes are relevant, inclusive and sustainable.

We are impact-driven
We are committed to robust monitoring and evaluation. We measure outcomes around confidence, emotional literacy, help-seeking behaviours and wellbeing and continuously refine our programmes based on learning and feedback.

What your funding
can support

Grant funding helps us to:

  • Deliver mental health workshops and programmes in education settings and sports clubs

  • Train coaches, teachers and volunteers to support young people’s wellbeing

  • Develop and refine resources for young people, parents and carers

  • Reduce barriers to access by subsidising delivery in underserved communities

  • Pilot and scale evidence-based interventions that respond to
    real need

We are transparent, accountable and careful stewards of the funding we receive and we value open, honest relationships with our funders.
